The body has seven chakras (spinning wheels of energy). When we are suffering from illness it means they have become blocked.
The word chakra means wheel or disk. These energy wheels regulate the flow of energy through our energy system. These centres open and close when we decide what to think and when we feel. Charkras are not physical. They are aspects of consciousness in the same way that the auras are aspects of consciousness as the mind and physical body work together.
The colours of our aura are not only outside us but inside as well, each chakra has a different colour and all relate to a different area of the body. Chakras and their functions were first mentioned in the Vedas, ancient Hindu texts of knowledge.
The purpose of these chakras is to take the energy of the aura and the energy of the Universe through these chakra energy centres to energise ourselves and keep ourselves alive. It is a natural circuit of energy; the chakras transmute energy from one position to another, up and down. The chakras link not only to outside events and people and universal energies, they also link to one another. If there is a blockage in one area this is going to directly affect the others.
When you feel stress in your consciousness, you feel it in the chakra associated with that part of your consciousness and in the equivalent part of the physical body. Everything can be healed so in understanding the chakras, the healing process can begin with the body and the mind. When a person’s chakras aren’t spinning properly, the physical, emotional and mental body aren’t working in harmony with each other. So when a person changes something about their being, they are able to release the stress that had been creating the symptom, and are then therefore able to return to a healthy state again.
Both Reiki and Crystal Therapy can be used to repair damaged and blocked chakras.
